about

Misty Coast has made thick layers of effects and noise put on top of dreamy pop melodies their trademark. With their third album "When I Fall From The Sky" in april last year, Misty Coast fortified their position as one of Norways finest indie bands. Under the Radar gave it a 8/10 review and proclaimed it was their most accomplished record to date. Now they are ready to show the world some new music, and the song "The End of The Beginning" is the second of a small series of singles that will be released throughout 2022.

After working with Emil Nikolaisen (Serena Maneesh) on the third album, they have this time around again teamed up with Girl in Red-producer Matias Tellez who produced their first two albums on the upcoming songs.

- The End of the Beginning is a nostalgia trip, where we reminisce back to a time when it was okay to be naive and live in the present - for better or worse. We have drawn inspiration from music that has left a clear mark on us from early adolescence, from a whirlwind of memories and fantasies that both feel so enormously close and which, fortunately, have long since passed.

lyrics

You used to pray
But not a word of it was real
And when you question the roots
Will you take it if you lose?
When you sleep you never think of
The reason why and who and when
Are we really here again?
We’re all just sheep stuck in white fences
Trying to escape before they end us
We used to cry until we laughed
If I had the chance I would go back
We used to think
That every word of it was real
And if you could go back
Would you really change it all?
I don’t believe you never even thought of
The things I never let you know
Cause I was never here at all
We’re all just sheep stuck in white fences
Trying to escape before they end us
We used to cry until we laughed
And if I had the chance I would go back
